For the record my position is that everyone has a 'right' to take an interest in Gaelic (how it could be otherwise?), that Gaelic should be preserved through the family and common usage (not through State intervention), that English are as British as the rest of us therefore why disparage them, and that, seeing as they constitute the vast majority of the population of Seil and Easdale, there is no question at all of lack of tolerence on incomers..its a non-starter!
Trust that is clear now and that the accusation of xenophobia will be withdrawn.
Longshanks (tolerant by choice)
) is deserving of the respect of keeping the original place names rather that some poorly anglised or bastardized equivalent - no doubt written by a non native mapmaker with no understanding of the history, meaning or culture implicit in the original place name.
