It was a tourist in a 4x4 Mercedes........ why the spamming pump hasn't been replaced yet god only knows.....

I've heard it's not going to be fixed. With the recent fuel price rises I guess it's not worth it.

No, Minimum. The soaring price of fuel is just why you would want to have a pump. Higher prices mean bigger profits.

Maybe it's more trouble than it's worth, PP.

If prices have to be high then locals (and tourists) may complain at the premium that has to be paid for fuel at independant rural pumps.

The government should subsidise it or reduce the tax on it in rural areas. It's pointless driving 50 miles just to fill your tank

You could be right there, PP, but until any of that happens (or something better) the pump will probably not be fixed - indeed, it may be removed altogether.

But if any solutions, to high rural fuel prices, are found in the future then there may be another business opportunity for someone else.

Referring to the tourist traffic, my personal experience is that some supposed "locals" are by far the most stubborn, arrogant,rude and careless drivers I have seen.
Some do not let faster following vehicles past.
Some look at you in awe if you pull over to allow passing.
Some do not accept that part of the carriageway is single track, preferring to use the verge and expecting the oncoming driver to do the same.
Some do not apparently see you.
No wonder the Balvicar to Clachan road is known by some as "the racetrack"!!

Tis time all 4x4s were off the roads
(possible exception real farmers
and Fishermen who have to use beach areas)

How big is this Island

Lets just ban non essential traffic,tourists are not that essential
except perhaps to the pub

If we all used Bikes look at the road rage we would avoid

Think of the eco benefits
