I apologise to all for allowing myself to contribute to this thread, about potholes which has now gone from the gutter into the drain. I feel it is one thing to tease and taunt, have a bit of combative argument, but another to slag off other contributors with abusive and loutish language (we've been here before).
I apologise to Tinker, Nonnymouse and Seil Sally, etc, etc, who have no doubt been turned off by brainless interludes on this site. As for Spider's plagiarism, I only caught on to it because it is exactly the same sort of trick I would play too, and I'm sure he will be pleased it made me laugh! But that's the difference, he did it tongue in cheek and I don't detect the same malice in his comments that I do with Longshanks.
