Northern rock'll be just fine..As soon as the English government throw some of their oil money at it, that problem should go away.   That Scotland side, I almost spilt my Irn Bru when I was looking at them, they’re an ugly lot!! They’d maybe win an ugly competition but they should just leave the footie to the ones who know how, c’mon ENGLAND :English Flag

p.s. does this remind anyone of the weekend: :surrender

Moonraker my old chum; you're getting a little hyper here. Of course most Scots will now be behind England (I for one will); we don't all define our Scottishness by a juvenile need to hate our neighbours.

What is worrying, though, is the state of our biggest public company; The Royal Bank of Scotland. Its share price has fallen by a quarter in the last month and is, today, below its benchmark £4.00 price. Unlike Barclays, last week, it has failed to make any statement about its sub-prime losses (which could be massive) and the City is very nervous. Northern Rock could be like a tea party if RBS goes the same way. And I tell you what; there's no way Salmon-man can afford to bail out RBS.

Do you mean mortgage?

What has become of the Scot's education system you were once so proud of?

Forgive me Pentland but how was that comment relevant in the slightest? Am I being dim or are you actually just bragging that you have a woman? :?

hello you,

Yes, I was just sympathising with Spiderman regarding the quality of some posters and subjects currently on the site. Spiderman often mentions his woman friend so I thought I should also make mention of mine (not boasting you appreciate because I have a woman, although I must admit she has some pretty impressive features), but merely trying to make the site more socially inclusive so that outsiders recognise we are human, here.
