Whoever Norvos is, you can be sure they're not local. White settler I'd say with a chip on their shoulder just begging to be plucked by a sky rat before being pooped on too.

We have an old saying in the fjords:

"You can tell a Yorkshireman ...............................

But you can't tell him much!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

Just a few simple questions Smelly, old chap, regarding your introduction of the phrase "White Settler" to the forum; a phrase we have probably all heard in the past, usually used in a derogatary sense:
1. Presumably when your parents moved here they were considered to be so-called "White Settlers"; does that categorisation still apply to your family, if not when exactly did it cease to?
2. Why is your surname not listed in the Dictionary of Scottish Surnames? (Miranda keeps a copy behind the bar if you need to check).
3. Who pays for your upkeep; Scottish or British taxpayers?

Why do you presume I was talking about myself? Who’s to say my parents moved to Seil? Who’s to say it wasn’t I who moved? Who’s to say I’m not in Honduras typing away using bad ISP’s?

And what about you, I take it you’re as local as they come? Got a good Scotch accent have we? Probably moved to Seil in an attempt to escape some terrible deviance one committed way back yonder? Or was it simply to escape the rat race like most of the other locals?
