Happenings on Seil

Post by jimcee »

There is an old saying somewhere - Third Time Lucky - so that might well prove to be the case in this particular quest.
On two occasions on different threads I have drawn attention to our Administrator to the fact that the content on the home page is seriously out of date, and as of this posting, there has been no attempt to at least clear out the debris.
Normally, were there no other input from our administrator one would assume that he was either out of communication on the high seas, or was not concerned with updating the website because there was nothing new worth reporting.
However his continuous presence on the Political scene in furtherance of his favourite cause suggests that the priorities of the main website have taken a back seat.
I did try to make a direct contact with our Administrator (as he kindly suggested) via a link on the home page but was rewarded with a page which led to gov.uk which did not seem appropriate under the circumstances.
It will be interesting to see whether this appears on the website, and whether it produces any effect.

.

I can't post news of upcoming events if no-one sends me any.

Where is the February Seilachan?

I haven't received a paper copy or an electronic one.

I have found one event on the Seil Hall website and put that on the home page.

And I have included a notice about the Rib Rendezvous.

Seileachan,
The February PDF copy appears to have disappeared in cyberspace.
For non delivery of a printed copy, which should cover every household on the island, please contact Eileen Colston, who is responsible for organising the distribution.
There should be an upcoming "fresh off the press" edition at the beginning of April sometime
