i think the fact the brewery has been ripped out and boarded over helps to give the indication that the rumours are very much true!
i just hope it remains as a bar/restaurant although applying for full conversion would be a struggle and would be fought all the way by the locals i'm sure!

tis sad but true - some are obviously pursuing further education whilst others are maybe trying to find some useful employ. They should be encouraged to spread their wings a little and not just settle for working in Tesco's or some waitressing job. I have noticed though that they do come back the od...

hello two beers, welcome to the forum. :) I don't think we can justify the horrendous expense of a full fire station on seil. the fire brigade can be here within 15 minutes from Oban (tis true - I have 1st hand experience and in the meantime (in theory) our worthy volunteers may have made it to thei...

If anyone was sad enuf to watch Eurovision Dance contest last nite you would have seenthat UK (both pro dancers) were 2nd bottom. Proves my point - Europe hates the UK. Sooooo political. Tinkiebell does so exist - she left a £ under my pillow when my tooth came out and I've seen her flitting round the magic mushrooms in my garden. (albeit a bit erratically) And it must have been superman that arranged for the Fireworks display to take place again this year. Seals and mice do t...

Calm down NOS, I think smellypants is just trying to addsome spice and draw some nationalists out. Sometimes you have to read between the lines. It is true that Scotland is a wonderful nation and I am proud to be a Scot but I am also proud to be British. I do say I am Scottish when asked wher...

Glad you agree with me. I have trouble pronouncing the english of some of these places but the gaelic is very troublesome and distracting. I find myself speaking the gaelic outloud in an attempt to sound intelligent, but this has made me make some silly driving errors- like mounting the kerb and run...

I think the tourists would miss the smelly fishermen and their oilskins and wellies look. After all we are surrounded by water- what s an island without a fisherman, And what would happen to the lifeboat crews - they cannot survive on yachties alone. :? What about oggy john - how would he survive wi...

we could take all the bridges away- that would stop the pesky coaches from visiting and that tour bus! Then we could get a hot-air balloon landing site to take us all into oBAN for our trips to tesco - better still maybe tesco's could do home delivery here by light aircraft drops onto designa...

how are you a nonny mouse, are you preparing for the long winter hibernation yet. The forum is getting quite serious now what with talk of referendum's and the middle east. Too heavy for me. I just wish people and countries would live in peace. What is all the fuss about, this nonsense with scots an...
